2) What's with the strange name? Andrea and Jason live in Oak Cliff, Texas which is known for it's old houses, scenery, and the occasional drive by shooting...especially on weekend nights. Typically they'll hear five or six shots in a row, which (according to neighbors) means that someone is either just celebrating (ie., happy bullets) or really, really pissed off.

3) How did it all start? In February 2003, Jason Roberts and Tim Ruble met while working at an Art Gallery in Dallas. They started playing/writing music together after realizing they had similar tastes in music. In the beginning, they were going to release 20 song cd's every 6 months and only send them out to friends. After a couple of the tracks were played on local radio shows, they decided to attempt a band. With a one month crash course Jason taught his wife to play bass, and after a couple of months of practice they performed their first show.

4) Who are your influences? Everyone's into contemporary stuff...the more melodic and poppy the better (Quasi, E6, Magnetic Fields...for more faves go to the links page). We also love psychedelic/mod era stuff (Zombies, Nilsson, Kinks).

5) How do you write? We both tend to work on melody's first, and the stories get created after the song has already been developed. The music takes about a half hour to write, the lyrics take the rest of the day.

6) Who wrote what? You can usually tell who wrote which song by who's singing it, with the exception of Andrea's songs which are usually written by Jason.

7) What does everyone do when they're not working/playing music? Josh does photography, Andrea and Jason read, Tim paints, Rhett socializes.
